Actually,
SISTEMA Clave has 866 ATMs in the Republic of Panama, 590 are in Panama City and 276 through out other provinces. Also, the SISTEMA Clave debit card that have the logo PLUS, behind theirs cards could make transactions abroad through the VISA/Plus ATMs network, in more than 800,000 ATMs. This made an easier way to travel out of the country by using the Clave card at any ATM's machine for a charge. This charge depends on the issuing institution and with the convenience and security that brings to don't carry cash during your business or pleasure trip.

In Addition, users of
SISTEMA Clave, can make withdrawals at ATMs of any other network, affiliated to VISA/PLUS network, and they will receive the best money exchange for the country that they visit.

SISTEMA Clave has its ATM network available to its users nationwide, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. It is possible to carry out a wide range of transactions such as:

  • Deposits and withdrawals from savings and checking accounts.
  • Balance inquiry from savings, checking accounts and credit lines.
  • International connections.
  • Cash advances from Credit Cards.
  • Public Services payments.
  • Private merchants bill payments.
  • Other Payments. (Payments with transfers from saving or checking accounts to clubs, schools, shopping stores, insurance, loans, credit cards).
  • Sales of cellular telephone pre-payment cards.
  • Donations. Traditionally, SISTEMA Clave has supported the Club Activo 20-30, making available to the TELETON 20-30, all the ATMs in the country, so that the users have the opportunity to make their donations.

IMPORTANT:
To be able to use all the facilities and services that
SISTEMA Clave ATMs network offers, you should request the bank that issued your Clave card "to relate the card to one or several accounts at the same time." Under the structure of related accounts to your Clave card, you can have up to 20 different accounts available for payments (electricity, telephone, water, taxes, etc.). The ATMs in Panama display the related accounts to the card on their screens, at the moment of carrying out a transaction, so you can select the bill that you want.

When you use an ATM outside of Panama or carry out a purchase in a local store, the first account related to the card will be used. For example, if you related two checking accounts, when carrying out a purchase in a store, the first account will be used to take the charge of the purchase.

Procedure to Use the SISTEMA Clave ATMs:

  • Depending of the ATM Model,
    • Introduce your Clave card in the insertion device. The magnetic stripe of the card should go down and the Clave logo up, or slip down your Clave card with the Clave logo down and with the name of the issuing Bank at the left side.
  • Select the language: Spanish or English.  
  • Introduce your secret number or PIN.  
  • Select the transaction.
  • Select the account type related to the Clave card.
  • Select the amount of money if you want to pay, donate or transfer money.
  • Then the ATM will process the transaction. In this stage, one of the following situations could happen:
    • If you have more than one account related to the Clave card, they will appear in screen and you should select which one you want to use for the transaction.  
    • If the transaction is rejected, the ATM will give you receipt detailing the reason of the rejection.
    • If the transaction is approved, the ATM will give you the requested money and a receipt where it is stated the carried out transaction.
  • The ATM shows a screen where it asks if you want to carry out another transaction. If you select NO, the ATM will automatically return your Clave Card or return to the welcome screen. Otherwise, if you select YES, the ATM will return to the main screen, and if it is necessary, you will have to introduce your card and type the secret number or PIN again.
      

ATMs WITH SLIDING DEVICE
These ATMs allow the SISTEMA Clave users slide their card. The SISTEMA Clave logo and the name of the Bank have to be toward the user's left, and the magnetic stripe toward their right and to the inside of the device. Once the user slide the card, the ATM will show automatically the language option.  


ATMs WITH INSERTION DEVICES 
These ATMs allow the
SISTEMA Clave users to introduce and take out the card immediately. The name of the Bank and the SISTEMA Clave logo have to go up and toward their left, and the magnetic stripe goes down and to their right. Once the card has been inserted and took out, the ATM will show automatically the language option.

Both systems do not allow the machine to keep your card and avoid that, when finishing the transactions, the card can be forgotten.
